Seeing your inventory tagged as “defective” or “unsellable” on Amazon can be confusing especially when you’re not sure what actually went wrong. For many sellers, this label doesn’t always mean the product is damaged beyond repair.
1. What “Defective” Really Means
Amazon’s system automatically marks an item as “defective” when it’s returned or flagged for quality issues this could range from a torn box to a missing label. Sometimes, buyers simply changed their minds but listed it as faulty, leaving you with “unsellable” stock that’s still in good condition.
2. How to Verify the Issue
To confirm whether your product is genuinely defective, you can have it removed from Amazon’s fulfilment centre and sent to your 3PL. At Easy FBA Prep, our warehouse team carefully inspects each unit, checks for packaging damage, and confirms if the item can still be repacked or resold.
3. Repair, Repack, or Reuse
If the product is still usable, we can relabel, repackage, or bundle it for resale, saving you money compared to disposing of it through Amazon. If it’s not salvageable, we’ll provide clear photos and a report so you can decide whether to donate, recycle, or discard it responsibly.
If Amazon has marked your products as defective, don’t write them off just yet. Contact Easy FBA Prep to inspect, rework, or recover your inventory and get those products back in your sales cycle.
